Vidda is based in London and works throughout the capital and South East. We can also travel countrywide where the project, programme and required outputs make that appropriate.
Often, yes. The answer depends on the exact location, airspace, site, aircraft and proposed operation. Some flights require additional permission, coordination and lead time, which we identify during planning.
Our drone pilots hold the GVC qualification and have extensive experience planning and operating in areas where permission is required, including Flight Restriction Zones. Every flight is planned under the applicable UK rules and operational permissions, with task-specific constraints confirmed before we commit to the work.
Yes. Vidda carries specialist commercial drone insurance with £5m+ public-liability cover, alongside additional cover relevant to our work. Project-specific evidence and increased limits can be discussed where required.
Safe flight and useful capture depend on wind, rain, visibility and the selected aircraft. We monitor forecasts and site conditions, communicate early and rearrange the flight when conditions would compromise safety or the required output.
Straightforward work may be organised quickly, while controlled airspace, complex sites, specialist permissions or unusual payloads can require more preparation. Sharing the location and deadline early gives us the best chance to meet your programme.
Not always. Where safe access, a clear brief and suitable site coordination are in place, many operations can proceed without the client present. We will confirm what is needed during planning.
Depending on the brief, deliverables can include edited photography and film, organised inspection imagery, annotated records, thermal imagery, orthomosaics, photogrammetry, 3D models, survey outputs and repeat progress documentation.
Outputs can be delivered securely through your own client portal or an organised online folder. File structure, formats, access and retention can be agreed around your team’s requirements.
Yes. We can work as the aerial capture partner within a wider project team, aligning the flight and deliverables with the technical or creative professional responsible for interpretation and final use.
Turnaround depends on the volume of material and the processing required. Straightforward media can be delivered quickly, while reports, mapping, models or detailed edits take longer. Timescales are agreed before the work begins.
Yes. Start with the objective rather than the aircraft. We will assess feasibility, regulation, risk, equipment and testing before proposing a practical approach—or explain clearly where a drone is not the right solution.
